Chilham FC was formed in 1919, and played on grounds provided by local farmers. The club is still going strong today, and plays at the Recreational Ground. 

The club now has teams that play on both Saturdays and Sundays. The Saturday team currently play in the Kent County League First Division, whilst the Sunday team compete in  the Herne Bay and Whitstable Sunday League Division One.
