The Chilham Parish Recreation Ground Trust are proud to maintain a number of excellent facilities for the community to enjoy.
Sports Hall
Chilham Sports Hall has been a key part of our community in recent years. A 10m x 20m sprung wooden floor is perfect for a number of activities, whether you are interested in football, basketball, badminton or even short mat bowls.
New specialist lights have been installed in September 2024, providing better lighting, using less electricity and so further helping our carbon footprint (we have had solar panels since 2014).
Within the Sports Hall, you will find a variety of equipment available to you such as badminton and volleyball nets, table tennis tables and more.
There is also a meeting/leisure room in the venue, containing a small kitchen area.
The Sports Hall is available for regular weekly hires and dates available can be found via the Booking tab of the website.
Multi Use Games Area (MUGA)
In 2020 development of the MUGA finished, providing us with an excellent 34m x 18m sports porous macadam surfaced area.
The area is perfect for sports such as basketball and football, but we note that bicycles and skateboards are strictly forbidden, as per our hiring terms found on the Booking tab of the website.
The MUGA is bookable in the evening (from October - April), but free to use for all whenever available.
When booked, Floodlights will come on automatically if need be.
Children's Playground
Along with the development of the MUGA, the playground was relocated and is now better than ever.
Slides, swings and a climbing frame are more than enough to keep kids entertained!
Tennis Courts
Chilham now hosts three high quality hard tennis courts (two are floodlit), at the local club.

The Field
The Field plays host to Chilham's Boot Fairs which take place throughout the summer months, and help raise money for both the Chilham Parish Recreational Ground Trust, and Chilham FC. The last date for 2024 is October 6th.
Chilham FC also play their home games on the field, where fans have been lucky to see a lot of success in recent years.
Car Park
There is plenty of parking available outside the Sports Hall for visitors and users of the facilities.
